The bumper and tire carrier itself are solid, well-built, and look great once installed. The finish is clean, welds are strong, and overall design is exactly what we were going for on our 2026 Bronco Badlands.
However, the installation experience was far from what was advertised.
This is not a “1-hour install” by any stretch. The process took multiple days due to missing parts, outdated installation videos, and lack of proper documentation. There was no parts list or written instructions included, which made it difficult to verify completeness and caused uncertainty during assembly.
We had to rely on two separate install videos, both of which appear to be outdated. Several components in the videos did not match what was included in the kit, which added confusion and slowed progress significantly.
Additionally, missing hardware required follow-up emails and delayed the build while waiting on shipments. Support was responsive and helpful, but the delays impacted the overall experience.
Regarding the tire carrier alignment:
We initially noticed a noticeable lean toward the driver side. After fully disassembling and verifying bearing seating and reinstalling everything correctly, the lean remained. We were told this is “normal” due to the tailgate opening angle, but the explanation changed during the process and did not fully align with the measurements we observed.
Using a level, we confirmed the hinge spindle itself appears slightly off vertical, which results in uneven gap spacing from driver to passenger side. While the system functions, this raises some concerns about consistency and quality control.
Final thoughts:
• Excellent product design and appearance
• Responsive customer service
• Installation process needs major improvement
• Instructions and documentation are lacking
• Quality control and consistency could be better
If Turn Offroad updates their install process (clear instructions, accurate parts list, and current videos), this would easily be a 5-star product.
