Do these install using factory mounting points?
Yes. Turn Offroad rock sliders are designed to install using a combination of factory mounting points/fasteners plus additional high-strength hardware for maximum rigidity. This approach delivers welded-level strength with the convenience of a bolt-on install.
Is drilling required?
No drilling is required. These sliders use a proprietary mounting system that bolts into place using factory attachment points plus Grade 10.9 self-threading bolts that anchor directly into the frame rails for an extremely secure hold.
Do I need to weld anything?
No — no welding required.
Are the brackets labeled left/right?
Yes — installation components are intended to be clearly organized and identifiable during install. Important note: if you ever receive a kit where bracket labeling seems unclear or incorrect, stop the install and contact support immediately. We’ll confirm orientation and make it right. This prevents incorrect assembly and saves you time.
How do I know which slider goes on which side?
Install instructions and/or install videos show correct orientation. In general, sliders are side-specific and should be test-fit before final torque to confirm alignment.
What weight are the sliders rated for?
These sliders are engineered as true protection — not just steps — and are built to take real hits. They are manufactured from heavy-duty steel (3–5 mm plate/tube construction with internal reinforcement), and the mounting strength exceeds 10,000 lb of shear/pull per mount when properly torqued.
Will these work with aftermarket skid plates?
In many cases, yes — but compatibility depends on the skid system design. Because rock sliders and skid plates often share adjacent frame space, some aftermarket skid setups may require minor adjustments. Will these work with aftermarket steps?
These sliders are designed to be both protection and a functional step surface. In most cases, you would not run separate side steps in addition to sliders.
Are step plates included or optional?
This depends on the specific slider version and configuration. Some slider kits include integrated step surface/plates, others offer step plates as an optional add-on, the product page will clearly state what’s included in the box.
Are these powder coated?
Yes — Turn Offroad rock sliders are finished with Tri-Guard Powder Coat, a durable 3-stage finish designed to resist: rust/corrosion, UV exposure, abrasion and trail impacts. The matte textured black finish also provides better grip for stepping.
