FORD BRONCO HARD TOPS

When Ford Bronco hard tops were difficult to get during the pandemic, we saw an opportunity. But as we started designing the TR10, the project became about much more than availability. We fell in love with the Bronco’s classic styling and wanted to create a premium replacement hard top that respected its heritage while improving the experience of owning one.

We focused on the things that matter after the excitement of a new top wears off: strength, road noise, weather sealing, fit and finish, and how the roof looks after years of use. We wanted the TR10 to feel like a thoughtfully engineered upgrade, not simply another way to cover the cabin.

One of our biggest design decisions was to eliminate the factory-style removable middle roof panel. The TR10 uses a two-piece layout that retains removable front panels while reducing the number of seams and joints across the roof. Fewer joints mean fewer potential paths for wind noise and water intrusion, and the more continuous structure supports our durability goals. There is a tradeoff: you give up the option to uncover just the rear passenger seating area. From our conversations with Bronco owners, that was a feature many rarely used.

For the structure, we chose honeycomb-core fiberglass construction reinforced with steel inserts in key areas. We combined it with sound-absorbing interior materials and carefully positioned seals to help manage cabin noise and keep the elements outside. The UV-stable gelcoat finish was another deliberate choice: it gives the TR10 its distinctive look, makes cleaning easier, and is designed to keep looking good over time.

We built the TR10 because we believe Bronco owners shouldn’t have to compromise. By combining classic Bronco styling with modern materials, thoughtful engineering, and premium craftsmanship, we created the hard top we believe the Bronco deserved from the beginning.
